Fontainebleau's cottage "La Dame Jeanne d’Avon" ("The Lady Jeanne of Avon) is located at the edge of the park of Fontainebleau-Castle, in a 17th century small horse relay fully renovated, comprising of three completely modernized and refurbished holiday cottages and the landlord’s house. Each of the three accommodations is fully equipped allowing for a pleasant stay whilst also guaranteeing that you can be fully independent during your stay.

At the heart of the 23,000 hectare massif of the Fontainebleau forest, the two towns, Fontainebleau & Avon, revolve around the castle. You can walk through the castle park to the town-center of Fontainebleau, or take the bus from the bus stop located 50m from the holiday cottages. The bus can also take you to the train station, thus allowing you to connect to the regular trains to Paris leaving every 30 mins and arriving 40 minutes later at Gare de Lyon in the heart of Paris.

For your ease and convenience, there are two free public car parks within immediate vicinity of the cottage, as well as a number of local shops (traditional bakery, minimarket, pharmacy,...)
